Elon Musk has other problems with his newly acquired Twitter than the unhappiness of an unknown number of woke employees. Apparently, there are other worms in the apple. Gordon MacMillan, a Twitter executive with editorial control over the Middle East and North Africa, is also a reserve officer in the British 77th Brigade. (Nearly half the staff of the 77th are reservists) According to Wikipedia, the brigade is an information warfare unit The Brigade uses social media such as Twitter and Facebook as well as psyop techniques to influence populations and behavior. David Miller, a professor of political sociology at the University of Bristol who studies British government propaganda and public relations, said that it is "involved in manipulation of the media including using fake online profiles. On 22 April 2020, during the UK government's daily coronavirus briefing, General Nick Carter confirmed that 77th Brigade is working with the Home Office Rapid Response Unit "helping to quash rumors from misinformation, but also to counter disinformation". That a high ranking Twitter employee has such close connection with an intelligence organization specifically created to influence opinions and to quash dissenting ones makes one wonder what other military/intelligence influencers are implanted in Twitter. The use of British intelligence assets is a common method for getting around US laws on spying on US citizens. Elon is going to have to very carefully vet the bonafides of his employees for issues other than left wing bias. This shows once again the close relationship between the left and the security state
